The common name of Carum carvi (Caraways seed) is derived from its origin that is province Caria in Asia Minor.

Background and native countries

The Asian were the first to value it as an aromatic healing ingredient and later it also become the spice delicacy of western Africa and Europe.

The taste of caraway

I’ve been remembering tastes of my childhood, and caraway biscuits was one of my favourites. I just had to make some and they were delicious. I also made a creme cheese and caraway spread… I so enjoyed the flavour, it was very special.
