BLACK SALT INDIAN GROUND
Also known as Black Himalayan rock salt, Indian black salt or Kala Namak, it is volcanic and widely used in Asia especially India and Pakistan. Though called black - the colour is more pinkish. It has eggy and sulphurous aroma and gives a unique pungent smell and tangy taste. Used by vegans this popular salt contains less sodium than normal table salt.
It can be used in pickles, chutneys, or sprinkled on salads, fruit, homemade popcorn or just on any food.
It is also a great alternative for seasoning both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes.
Due to it's cooling properties it is good for easier digestion.
Black salt has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for its healing properties.
