While cardamom (bari ilaichi), carom (ajwain), fennel (saunf), fenugreek seeds (methi dana), ginger (adrak), and turmeric (Haldi) are other ingredients that you can add or minus according to your preference. 

How to Make Birth Masala? Firstly, roast the whole spices for 10 minutes on low to medium flame. Bring this spice mixture to room temperature, and grind to make a fine smooth powder. Add the remaining powdered spices. Mix well and store in an air-tight container away from the sunlight and moisture.
