BEEF CASSEROLE
Ingredients
- 600g steaks, cubed
- 2 onions sliced
- 1 red pepper, deseeded and chopped
- 1 green pepper, deseeded and chopped
- 5 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 Tbsp plain flour
- ¼ tsp mustard powder
- 1 ½ tsp Leena Beef Masala
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 Tbsp oil
- 600 ml beef stock
- 2 Tbsp sour cream
- 1 Tbsp parsley, chopped
Method
- Mix together flour, mustard, paprika, beef masala, salt and pepper
- Mix meat cubes with above mixture
- Heat oil in a saucepan on medium heat.
- Cook meat for 5 to 10 minutes until brown on all sides
- Transfer to a casserole
- In the remaining oil fry onions, garlic and pepper for 5 minutes until soft
- Add to the casserole with beef stock and tomatoes. Mix well.
- Cover the casserole with a lid and cook in oven at 180c for 2 hours or until the meat is tender
- Pour sour cream and garnish with parsley
