CHILLI CON CARNE

Chilli mince with kidney beans

Ingredients

  • 500g beef, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2Tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp plain flour
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 ½ tsp Leena Taco Spice
  • 400g can of tomatoes
  • 300ml beef stock
  • 400g can of kidney beans
  • Salt to taste.

Method

  • Heat oil in the frying pan on medium heat
  • Cook onion and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes until soft
  • Add minced beef and cook until brown
  • Add flour , salt, chilli powder, Leena taco spice, tomatoes and beef stock
  • Stir the mixture and bring to boil
  • Reduce heat and stir for 30 minutes
  • Drain kidney beans and add to the mince
  • Cook further for 10 to 15 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve
